Hun Manet: Quality Human Resources are Essential to Ensuring Efficiency and Sustainability

STUNG TRENG: Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) and Commander-in-Chief of the Army, General Hun Manet, has stated that selecting quality human resources is necessary for efficiency and sustainability.

General Hun Manet made this statement during the transfer ceremony of senior officers to the Stung Treng Military Operations Area, 1st Military Zone, on Tuesday, 11 April 2023, in Stung Treng Province.

He shared that the RCAF's reform work is currently progressing well, and further stressed that the restructuring of the work system and strengthening of command and control over human resources must be seen as essential for building and managing the efficiency and sustainability of tasks.

He also praised the Commanders and Deputy Commanders of the RCAF at all levels, adding that those stationed in the Stung Treng military operation area have worked hard to carry out their duties and make achievements, showing good performance of core tasks and professional security cooperation both along the border and within the province. He said these efforts have ensured there is peace and security for all people, and have also contributed to strengthening army units in all areas.

He further confirmed that the decision to appoint Ton Chhay as the new Commander of the Stung Treng Military Operation Area was made according to his demonstrated abilities, qualifications, achievements and merits in serving the nation and people of Cambodia.

Ton Chhay was the former Deputy Commander and Chief-of-Staff of the Mondulkiri Military Operation Area.
